Shower time

When it comes to showering, I'm a huge fan of a curved shower curtain rod. It's an added touch of luxury in a bathroom that isn't visible until you shower. The extra elbow room makes it so you can shower without the curtain attached to your elbow....the difference is huge! A curved shower rod holds a standard size shower curtain and it attaches to the wall, so noone is pulling it down by accident (ie: little kiddies.)

Metallic sheen shower curtain: Calvin Klein
Tiles: Slate
Bathroom and tile design: Done by me

I shut the shower curtain here to give you an idea how it bows outward, otherwise it is kept open. I like the look of a shower curtain open and I love to see the tile design...also, it keeps the bathroom looking larger. I had a niche built to house all the bathing necessities, so it looks tidy with the curtain open. What are your thoughts on a curved rod?

  3. Yours looks fabulous. I've always been intrigued with them and agree that it's so much more practical but it doesn't work in my space as our toilet is too close to the shower/tub and would make it a bit crowded.
Wishing you a stellar week ahead!!

  12. Never thought of the shower curtain as away to achieve more elbow room, but now that I think of it, yes, good idea! I think the curved shower curtain is unusual (in a good way) and for some reason, gives a touch of luxury (oh, and the chandelier helps too ;)... fab!).

  15. My Son has had one at his house and it is amazing how that slight curve gives you so much more room and it does not go into the room. Pretty amazing design. Love your shower curtain , it looks so pretty with your tile!! Kathysue
