Gorgeous blues

Navy blue, light blue and Louis XVI chairs are used to create a timeless and sophisticated dining room in a client's home.
In a home with three young children, the back of the dining room chairs were the only practical place to use silk. The combination of leather and silk on the chairs is striking.
The window treatments show off the intricate design of the textile.
Blue and white porcelain makes an elegant statement.
Silk: Kravet
Window treatment: Stark
Louix XVI chairs: Sedersi Inc.
Wallcovering: Sonia's Place
I find blues to be soothing and have a richness that always looks stunning and classic when used in interior design (and fashion.) What is it about blue interiors that you fancy? Have you created spaces in your home using blues?

  2. I think its so exciting when something is kid-proof and beautiful. So many people just opt for the cheap and ugly figuring it'll get ruined.
I love blue and white porcelain. My collection is in my entryhall and the ajoining honeysuckle pink guest bath.

  6. I never thought of myself as a "blue girl", but it does appear in a number of my rooms. Paler in some...but definitely there. I think it is a very calming color and home to me is all about feeling calm, safe and cared for.

Love that Carolyn may do a deep dark blue for her front door. That's style knocking on her door!!!

  18. Just love blue - and I love the leather - actually a rather practical choice for a dining room and the textured silk is a great and elegant contrast!
