Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah

Whether you are celebrating Christmas or lighting the menorah (or doing both), I hope your day is filled with much love, much happiness and many magical moments.

Leaving milk and a cookie for Santa, carrots for the reindeer and a gingerbread train for the Elves was exciting for my five year old daugther and three year old son...
Seeing the note my daughter wrote to Santa was magical for her, and me.
This blog has been a wonderful gift in my life, thank you for being a part of Hamptontoes by reading my blog, stopping by for a visit, leaving comments, sending e-mails...all of it, I love! Happy holiday!

Sadly, my sons do not believe in Santa anymore, may be a good thing since they are 20 and 23! but they love Christmas and presents and we just had the most marvelous christmas celebration.

Hey gorgeous...you must keep all these little notes written by your children as after they are all grown up it is just so much fun to go back and find joy in them all over again.
I know you guys had a wonderful holiday weekend, and I look forward to knowing you better and better in 2012. xx's

We still leave a note and snacks for Santa as well. My youngest is 12 and I'm pretty sure doesn't believe but wants to hang on to the magic so of course I'm happy to oblige. Hoping you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. Looking forward to seeing you in the new year!!

Lisa,
Can you believe it's a new year?! I know you and your family had a magical time together.

That note is a treasure. That is one you should keep, frame and give to her in another 10 years.

Love to you in the new year!!!

Thanks for all of your sweet comments!

Debby,
I made the gingerbread train with my kids at the beginning of December. Last year we made a gingerbread house. We enjoy looking at it all month and then on Christmas Eve we leave it for Santa to take to his elves. I think it is a nice way to make it disappear without tossing it away in front of them. They are thrilled knowing that the elves get to eat their gingerbread creation!!
