Peacock inspiration

The other day I did a post about finding inspiration for designing/decorating one's home from the great outdoors. Recently, I was at the Bronx Zoo and this gorgeous peacock caught my attention.
After snapping photos of him for ten minutes I immediately thought of napkin rings I had seen. How fabulous would either of these two napkin rings be for a dinner party...very striking! http://www.zgallerie.com/pc-8531-31-sitting-peacock-napkin-rings-set-of-4.aspx
Are you looking for furnishings and accessories for the home...check out Zgallerie's website...http://www.zgallerie.com/. Inspiration for designing a home or pulling together a chic dinner party is all around us!

  9. Lisa, this is delightful & whimsical. You must get these. A few years ago we were doing a photo shoot with my jewelry, my son shooting...one of the marketing people suggested we "hang" jewelry off live peacocks...great thought, except how on Earth would one get them to stay still. My son put an end to that at once. LOL.

  14. Oh those napkin rings are very fancy! I don't think I can afford them! I did have a guinea hen in my yard last week, maybe one of Christie Brinkley's flew the coop? I could look for feathers and make some, LOL! Now that would be a conversation piece!
Thanks for visiting..It was just gorgeous here today!

  16. Lisa what a gorgeous idea... perfect for a dinner party. I love peacocks and we have once had one or two in our garden who wander down from the Botanic Gardens. They are such regal creatures and the colours are stunning.

  17. Hi Lisa, great pictures! Those peacocks cat Bronx can get pretty aggressive, we had a scary time once standing between one of these and the intended female! Anyway, I still love them and love my new peacock print top from Target (Liberty!).

  20. i have never seen a peacock fanning it's feathers in real life, your pictures are the closest i've come and IT'S AMAZING. WOW. SERIOUSLY! I remember growing up, in the 1970s and my neighbor across the street her mom had a vase in the corner full of peacock feathers. You know when you're about 10 you look at that and go "why would you put feathers in a vase and not flowers?" but now i know that she was stylish!
