What's in your decanter?

If you don't have small children in your home, I think a decanter on a bathroom sink filled with mouthwash is just fabulous! Decanters are often tucked away (and rarely used when serving wine) so why not use in another fashion?
** Before filling your decanter with any liquid, it would be wise to confirm that the decanter is lead free to keep from having lead leach into your liquid. Even though I'm not drinking my mouthwash, I still want to be confident that the liquid is free of lead.

  3. Bourbon! But I do have Listerine in small decanters made for mouthwash. The way be go through it, maybe bigger is the way to go!

  8. There is something so feminine about decanters. Perfume is my fave purpose for them:)

  9. What a great idea - so pretty and feminine yet practical, too. As long as someone doesn't think it's an exotic liqueur!

  13. I have done this for years, only I use antique cruets. The handles makes it easy to pour the mouthwash in the little paper cups...My guest love it and usually take the idea home with them!!

  17. My decanter has home-made Lemoncello - my parents live in Florida and their little tree grows enormous Meyer lemons. I'm Italian and it's delicious chilled on vanilla ice cream. Asian stores always have great buys on lemons too. I work in a high school health room and when the Asian market has limes 10 for $1 I bring in a huge bowl for the Main Office...everyone always asks "where's the Corona?" lol...Hugs, Jennifer jennsthreegraces
