Kravet (to the trade) has caught my attention with this contemporary take on the century's old suzani look. When this pattern is paired with more traditional elements in the room, the result will be a space that has a fresh modern take on traditionalism.
This textile is being used on two wing back chairs in a client's living room. I adore this design and like that I have never seen it used.
Here I posted about this vase. When the installation of this room is complete there will be a couple subtle pops of deep, bold yellow to keep the room crisp. The other colorways are quite fabulous too!
Do you have a favorite colorway? Images of the space will follow once we complete the installation!
Love the yellow/gray combo! Hope your week is off to a great start. xo
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of suzani before, so today I learned something new. I definitely see how it can be classic, and I think it will look great on the chairs.
ReplyDeleteI love this fabric...those lucky clients! Its perfect in the blue, and of course love the purple colorway as well!
ReplyDeleteLove the plum colorway as well as the blue! Lucky clients!

Wonderful fabric - I actually love the colorway you're using the best - hope you'll give us the reveal when you're done!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabric, I love the first colorway. Can't wait to see it on the chairs!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow/grey colorway would fit right into my living room, great pattern! Lucky clients!
ReplyDeleteThat IS a great print. Do show the finished product! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the yellow/gray colorway. It's fairly similar to what I now have in my living room. The print you'll use for your client is beautiful. Very, very chic and it somehow has a very clean, refreshing feel. That vase is perfection.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your reveals!
ReplyDeleteSuzani patterns are really making a comeback. There are lots of great suzani stencils available, too, for those who want to create the pattern on the wall (or wherever) in their own colors.
My fav is the 2nd colorway (surprise, surprise!)
I would gravitate towards the grey and blue slate tones.
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern! In also have been using the Thom Filiccia collection for Kravet, love the prints
Beautiful! Pretty in every color!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great fabric!!! I love your take...a contemporary update on the suzani.
ReplyDeleteI am drawn to the first colorway - which is interesting, as I don't have a lot of blue on my main floor. Might need to rethink that! :)
