A stylish window treatment

Deciding on window treatments for the side window/s that flank a front door can leave some in a window treatment dilemma. Many homeowners think that their only option is choosing between white sheers. Allowing sunlight in and gaining a little privacy are important considerations that I factor into my decision for a stylish window treatment, however I never go with a white sheer.

Here's the treatment I did for the side window at our front door...it's a sheer, but not white.

There are so many fabulous textiles to choose from...pick one, have it hemmed four inches on each end for a more substantial look and you've got yourself a wonderful window treatment! Or you can take a curtain and have it hemmed in the same fashion. The point is you don't have to buy a window treatment that is made just for a particular window...go for something stylish and functional!

I have to admit I am a fan of sheers, but this panel is so much more interesting. Thanks for broadening my view.

Erika,
The coat rack is from www.zgallerie.com... http://www.zgallerie.com/p-4944-twig-coat-rack.aspx
The coat rack fetches lots of compliments! It is also very heavy, making it quite sturdy. I love it for when guests come! Happy shopping!
