Hamptons Happiness

Hello blogging buddies! I have missed posting, visiting your blogs and commenting for the past week and half, but we were in the Hamptons for an extended stay and well, I rarely touched my computer. I hope you are enjoying your summer. Today is Hampton Happiness day...this summer I'm doing a series on things about the Hamptons that make me smile ear to ear. Many of you know my love of gardening, so it goes without saying that I am always in awe over the privet/hedgerow in the Hamptons! Whether clipped or unmanicured having a "natural fence" around your home is without a doubt a Hamptons staple! Here's a feast for your eyes...enjoy your privet tour of the Hamptons. Happiness indeed!

Happy Monday!

These are so great! Something very soothing and comforting about being surrounded by a wall of green nature, yet so neat and manicured, love it!

A walk down memory lane! They all look great, especially the first one, which was incredibly more impressive in person. I also love the one with "hair". This post makes me happy, too!

Oh, gorgeous! The beautiful thing is, these people have someone to take care of the upkeep, lol! Just lovely!

Wow I didn't know the Hamptons were full of houses behind hedges :)
I'm dying to go one day. Hope you had a wonderful time and I can't wait for more Hamptons posts to come.

The borders are just so luscious! When they are trimmed perfectly, I love them!

Amazing there are so many there. Can you just imagine the compounds behind them!

Looks amazing......glad you enjoyed the R&R. Turning off is glorious, isn't it? To this day the smell of boxwoods instantly brings me back to our summers spent in the NC mountains. Love it!

These hedges are so quintessentially Hamptons and a wonderful "green" way to have some privacy! Welcome back to blogland - we've missed you!

Those tall hedges never fail to make me smile. It's as if that corner of the world was blessed with good garden "genes"! Welcome back...I've been missing your posts! xo Elizabeth
