As you know, I'm a huge fan of enhancing some of my retail/to-the-trade finds with trim. Here, I added trim to this lamp shade to sharpen its appeal. I used fabric glue and attached the trim in about ten minutes. Highly recommend trim enhancement!
Have you enhanced furniture or furnishings with trim to give it a more tailored look?

A little trim goes along way -it's all about the details.
It makes such a big impact but I can't stop staring at that chest !
Sometimes those finishing touches make all the difference. In the case of your shade you could switch out the color anytime to change the look. Yellow, orange or red trim would be equally impactful.
Details... beauty is all about the details.
I love using trims too and it's so easily done! No excuses to not beautify lamps. Simple, affordable and gorgeous.
Have a lovely day!

What an impactful addition to that lamp! It really helps it play off the chest.
I am always nervous I'll mess something up...but this is giving me a little more confidence, seeing how great it looks.

This adds so much and I love when I read that no sewing is involved! Glue gun--yes, sewing machine--NO! I have several Jamie Young natural shades that I need to do enhance a bit!
Very nice change to a simple lamp shade!
hmmm I have not done this but I certainly like the idea Lisa!
I so agree!! I did something very similar to a lampshade out on my front porch,. it made all the difference. Love your choice, black adn white always feels right!! xo Kathysue
Looks fantastic. No, I don't alter the stuff I buy, I usually end up making a mess of it and ruining the whole item :P
