Hello leopard print!

I absolutely adore leopard, cheetah and zebra prints. They are chic, timeless and stunning in a room.

I'm adding a little leopard to our dining room in the form of a tablecloth or table runner for an everyday look. I love the look of wood in a room, it adds warmth and a natural element. For those reasons, I'd like to do a runner. On the other hand, I have a two year old son who is posing to be a threat to our antique table. Considering that, I think I should protect the entire tabletop.

I'm using Schumacher's Samburu chenille in khaki to have this creation made.
The look of a runner with exposed wood.
The look of a tablecloth draped on the table.
I'm dropping the textile off on Monday to have it sewn, which direction do you think I'll go? Which direction would you go?

For a little fun, pop over to Diane James Home to guess which front door belongs to which blogger, mine included!

I would definitely vote for the tablecloth idea to protect that gorgeous table AND the more leopard print, the better! I think I know which wreath is yours...
Happy weekend!

I love a cat with spots. Lovely idea, and just in time for the Holidays.

I am voting for the runner...I love the look of the wood showing up with the leopard. Just keep your son out of the dining room :).

I think you'll go with the full tablecloth. Next year, just have it cut down to the runner and a few extra pillows.

Off to check out the front doors...

Love them both.....but with your little fella at the table, why not just cover the whole thing?!!! You can always give relief to the eye with the actual table settings. I vote tablecloth!!!!

I think a little leopard is super cute and fun. The trick with making it work is to not go overboard with it. I think you did a great job :D

Animal print is everywhere right now! I just got a handbag with it too. I used to dislike it, but now it is growing on me! It's very stylish for a home I think.

LOVE leopard. I think covering the whole table would look fabulous and obviously be more practical. You could layer it with other things to break it up and make it more fun - I'm sure you'll do a great job!!

I think I would go with the table cloth, but you can't really go wrong either way, can you?

Tablecloths rather 'old fashioned'.

Runner with beautiful chargers and layered place settings. Beautimus and modern!

I just found your blog - love your kitchen post :) I love the idea of the print for a tablecloth. Gotta say I like the idea of both :) I used Burlap for Thanksgiving and I think this print would look fabulous drapped over burlap on a table but if your table needs protecting - I would do the tablecloth. It would look amazing with wicker or gold chargers all done up. I think anyway you go it will look great.
