Summer dreaming

With the past two weeks having been exceptionally busy, I've found myself thinking about this pool that will soon be opened. Have you found yourself thinking about summer days? If you are on the opposite side of the world what is it about the winter months that has you dreaming?
Enjoy your weekend!

I have been dreaming of going to the beach!!For some reason it is calling my name. The mallard ducks in our area seem to think our pool is open for their morning bath, I have to shoo them away every morning, happy Friday,Kathysue

I ask Mr. Hub, "What is my favorite thing in the whole world?" He answers correctly each time, "A summer night." I grew up in the lowcountry coastline, there is nothing like it.

Lisa ...that pool looks so inviting and so secluded! I can just imagine stripe beach towels and painted adirondacks and jugs of ice tea! Perfect. I am so glad you did my risotto again and that you love it. I am going to do your version with the prawns! Thank-you for your lovely comments of Alex and guess what you are going to get to meet him! It is winter here now in Australia but because we are on the Tropic of Capricorn in Queensland our winter days comprise mostly maximum temperatures of 25 degree celius with brilliant blue skies. It can get cold at night (well cold for us!) and go down to about 5 or 6 degrees celius. The things I love about our winter here is that it is not really winter like you guys in the Northern Hemisphere have but I look forward to wearing my beautiful Ralph Lauren coats which I can't really wear here in summer. I wear them with jeans and ballet flats or boots. It is fun to get rugged up and wear more than white linen! We look forward to lighting our fire as our fireplace is still working and it is great fun because we roast marshmallows and it is so cosy. Our house is very cold in winter because of the high ceilings, timber floors and many windows! In New South Wales and Victoria they have more of a proper winter with snow in the Snowy Mountains and I think Mt. Macedon region. Anyway, that is what I look forward to in our winter time!
Have a beautiful week-end and will email with our itinerary!
Hugs always Frances

I'm dreaming of being poolside too... remind me of that when I reach for a second cupcake and forget about the neglected running shoes in the corner. Its bikini bod time!

Lovely pool! I've been sitting out on our back patio, but we don't have a pool (although my husband occasionally threatens, maybe one day it will happen!). Hope your weekend is wonderful!
