Nature Center Carnival Birthday

One of my son's absolute favorite outings is to visit the nature center. It was without question that his third birthday party be all about turtles, chincillas, lizards, ferrets and bearded dragons!
A nature center carnival made for a fun and festive theme. I used a red textile for the tablecloth and for the polka dot runner I rolled wrapping paper right down the middle of the table. The bumble bee, snake, spider, butterfly, ladybug and frog face masks were enjoyed by all! The table was set with lizards, frogs and all things creepy crawly. Party gifts were given in red and white striped gable boxes.
My favorite son (and my only son!) is already talking about his next birthday party. While he considers whether his next theme will be airplanes, robots or Dino Dan, I continue to wonder where the time goes?

All I can say is I am jealous that you have a 3 year old and that it is an age I remember fondly as being soooo sweet. They really come into their own what I would give to click my heels and go back. Enjoy every single minute, it really does by much too fast. Looks like a fun and very "boy appropriate" party!

This is all so adorable and the perfect party for a three year old who likes bugs. Love all the colors and patterns and of course the bugs.

I am sure whatever he chooses you will make it a special day. I still loved his party from last year! Didn't he do a "pool" party in the back yard with pinwheels lining the walkway?

Adorable!! My older son was a nature nut too and we had many nature themed parties - I remember we once had someone come to the house with all sorts of exotic animals - the boa put me over the edge!!

You are a natural at celebrations and I know your little one will be bugging you about the next visit to the nature center....and before you know it, he will be off to school. Our sons are now in college and I am in total shock and awe over how fast time flies.
Happy year ahead to your son!

What a darling party!!! Those masks are TOO cute and I'm sure the children looked adorable wearing them.

Love how much joy and effort you put into making your children's celebrations special and memorable.

They do grow fast!!
