Magical wings

Over the sun-filled weekend we attended an event where there were loads of fairies. My daughter and nieces wore an ear to ear smile the entire time. It was an escape from reality, unless you are a three, four or five year old! How do these photos relate to interior design? They remind us that there is magic in the unexpected, that it's a blessing to have a home that feels like an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily living and that infusing a whimsical touch here and there creates perfection in a home.
And, these two grown ladies had me believing in fairies, if only for a moment.
Hope your week if full of the happy, unexpected moments!

This was so great and sweet. I love what you wrote about the home, and these fairies are exactly what I need to see on this drab gray day! Thanks!

What a perfect way to celebrate the arrival of spring (or should I say summer!) - my boys frolicked in the sun, too, but they weren't wearing fairy wings!

You might want to consider creating a fairy garden with them. I have them in various places on my deck. In a big galvanized tub, an old wagon, etc. Like decorating a doll house, but it grows!

Oh fabulous! I love fairy stuff, have a huge weakness for fairy lights and pink, I am always trying to figure out a way to incorporate these into my decor without it looking like I'm 12! Great post!

I love fairies and I like to think that I believe. It is so fun to see fairies through the eyes of my 7yr old granddaughter. When we made the fairy garden together she named it the Crystal Fairy garden. When she woke up the next morning there were crystals left in her garden and rose petals. You should have seen her eyes. Precious!!Enjoy your sweet little fairies. Kathysue
