A dresser in the foyer

I love how functional and practical it is to have a dresser in a foyer....I'm a huge fan! For example, the bottom drawer of our dresser houses all my kiddies hats, gloves and mittens. In the summer, I keep all of their summer hats in the dresser, along with a small tote that contains sunscreen, bug spray, wipes, etc. It is very easy for my daughter to pull open the bottom drawer and get her stuff out or put it back in.  This is one piece of furniture that is used daily throughout the year in our home.  This is our foyer.

I recently re-painted a medium sized french dresser that we're using as a console table. The extra storage is fantastic!

What a great piece! And, very handy (although in our house we never use the front door). Love the coat rack and art as well!

I love that dresser and the lamp as well! Is it yours Lisa? That actually is a great idea as I know that I am always running to pack sunscreen, hats etc. and if it is already done and ready to go in the hallway or foyer you are already a step ahead of the game. Great idea!

Blogger buddies,
Thank you for your comments and for stopping by to visit!

M.A.the2nd...yes, the photos are of my foyer.

TheZhush...the coat rack happens to one of my favorite elements in our home! It is very functional, as well as striking when not in use.

Love your foyer dresser, love your blog, love your style and have thoroughly enjoyed my first visit here. So happy you stopped by FK and left a comment for it led me here. And how adorable was that party for your precious little ballerina. So many delightful details. Inspiration and creativity abound here! I will return. ~jermaine~

I love the black & blonde stripe in the chest. it's like a modern day version of beidermeier! and a great idea to use it because of the drawers! i wish our entry was big enough to hold some kind of piece of furntiture like this. :)

I'm waiting on a chest from Craigslist that I was thinking about using at the beach in the entry. Thanks for confirming it's okay.

It's funny, I just noticed the coat rack and P. Barn has a black one like it that I was eyeing for the same entryway. Two points for me! :-)
