Mirror, mirror on the wall...

This brushed gold, solid wooden frame holds a beveled mirror and commands a presence with its size being 55"w x 67"h. We have had it for six years...first it was a leaner in our bedroom when we lived in the city and now it hangs in our daughter's room. It is the "wow" factor in her bedroom, unless of course she is in there! However, the bigger "wow" factor may be that we only paid $99.00 for it at Home Depot... it is stunning!

Sometimes we find surprises in unexpected places! Have you found a mirror in a not so obvious place?

Great mirror! My daughter's chandelier is from Home Depot.....I suppose if your eyes are open you can find something great nearly everywhere. I've seen some good mirrors at Home Goods recently.

Just wanted to add an additional comment. $99.00 - are you kidding me!!! I have a similar mirror hanging over my fireplace (pictured in my first blog) that cost over $500.00. My frame is a little thicker but it is just as beautiful as the one you found at Home Depot. Good going on that find!!

I think it's all about having the eye. I've found things from the biggest rinky dinks to the finest store out there. You've got to know what you're looking for and obviously you do. Love it.

Thanks for your comments!

Gwen(Ragland Hill Social) & Susie (Maddie's Nest), you are absolutely right...it is about having an eye. I say that all the time, but it's so true.

Deb, yes the mirror was truly $99.00...it is huge! I looked at the one in your post (it's wonderful, but the sizes are different...at least it looks that way in the photos). Glad you enjoyed!

Not I, but my mother seems to come across the most amazing mirrors I've ever seen. It is just a knack with her. She used to have a wonderful antique store and I suppose she just follows her nose. Lovely post.

No, but I always keep my eyes open for little goodies, and I usually find them :D. You wouldn't believe some of the awesome stuff i've gotten from TJ Maxx: my best ever find was a really fab Missoni bag!
