Want to add a special touch to a bookcase? Try wallpapering the back of the unit. I took a simple dollhouse bookcase in our daughter's bedroom and wallpapered the back of each section using the same wallpaper that is in her room. It's a little touch that goes a long way...
And, here is the before...not so snazzy.

Such a cute book case! Love doll houses too!
I love wallpaper and have had it in my home for years but only on the walls. I did use a great vinyl paper to line shelves in my kitchen once. Would love to do my entry hall closet to make it pretty! Happy Patty's day! to you, kathysue
So cute such a good idea.
I noticed your comment over at Haven and Home. I loved the pom-pom trim too- so I thought I should drop by. Great blog! Will be following!
Love the bookcase. Great alternative to paint! So sweet.
I love using wall-paper in that way ... and it is a great way to use up the left overs. I also, love the idea of using the doll's house as a book-shelf! Clever! Great to have you back!
Really, really precious. Just love bookcases and wallpaper!
Really adorable!! Great use for leftover wallpaper!
Fabulous idea! I geuss this is why we should never toss out extra wallpaper.
I love this trick, have done it myself! I am using extra wallpaper to make a desk top now...Love the wallpaper you used here!

Yes, I used upholstery tacks/nails/the decorative ones to add raffia wallpaper to the back of my pine cupboard at the beach.
